The Nomura Research Institute, think tank of Japan’s leading brokerage Nomura Securities Co., had earnings of $90 million on sales of more than $700 million in the fiscal year ending March 31.
The institute said its sales for the year were estimated at a record $708.4 million.
The company said it was studying plans to establish subsidiaries in West Germany and France. The Nomura Research Institute opened an office in Sydney, Australia, and a subsidiary in Switzerland during the current fiscal year.
