Teacher Who Resigned Over Film Reconsiders
A Pasadena teacher who resigned under pressure after showing a partial nude scene from a movie to a seventh-grade class said he will fight to keep his job after all at a Board of Education meeting tonight.
Peter Connolly, who quit about three weeks ago after showing a Monty Python movie containing a brief scene of partial nudity, said showing the scene was a mistake, but he believes he should be allowed to keep his job.
“I let my students down by resigning,” Connolly, 36, said. Students and parents will attend the Pasadena Unified School District meeting to offer their support for him, Connolly said.
