Lithuanian Cyclist Signs With U.S.-Based Team

SACRAMENTO — Cyclist Gintautas Umaras of Lithuania, a two-time gold medalist in the 1988 Olympics, signed a one-year contract with the United States-based Coors Light Cycling squad, team officials announced Monday.
Umaras, 26, won the individual and team pursuit titles in Seoul, South Korea, as well as the same titles in the 1987 World Championships.
Terms of the contract were not announced.
