2 Pomona Seniors Win Mellon Fellowships

Michael Kidd and Guy Rohrbaugh, seniors at Pomona College, have won graduate fellowships worth up to $27,000 each in the Mellon competition aimed at developing humanities teachers for U.S. colleges and universities.

Kidd, of Martinez, Calif., plans graduate studies in Spanish literature. Rohrbaugh, of New York City, intends to study philosophy.
