Lithuania’s Independence Bid Assailed in Cuba Press

HAVANA —
Cuba’s official Communist Party newspaper Granma said Thursday that Lithuania’s bid for independence was an attempt to re-establish “bourgeois power” and crush Soviet socialism.
“Enough weeks have gone by to be able to judge without fear of making a mistake what is really happening in Lithuania,” wrote Granma’s Moscow correspondent Nidia Diaz.
