The Queen Mother, Elizabeth of Britain, will have a new coin minted in honor of her 90th birthday Aug. 4.

Chancellor of the Exchequer John Major told the House of Commons Thursday the coin will have a face value of 5 pounds--$8.22--and will be minted in the traditional crown size.

The coin will show the portrait of her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II, by Raphael Maklouf with an inscription that includes the words “five pounds.” Details on the flip side will be released later, Major said. While the coins are legal tender, they are not intended for general circulation. A similar commemorative coin was minted for the queen mother’s 80th birthday.
