The final report from a citizens panel that has been looking into potential regional airport sites will be presented to the Orange County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

The report will detail the Airport Site Coalition’s four recommended sites--the Potrero los Pinos site northeast of San Juan Capistrano, the Cristianitos Canyon site just outside San Clemente, Camp Pendleton near Oceanside and March Air Force Base in San Bernardino.

John Wayne Airport is now the only commercial airport in the county. It serves 4.75 million passengers annually and is undergoing an expansion to relieve congestion.
