Driver Killed Trying to Make a Left Turn
A 56-year-old Anaheim motorist died Friday after his car was hit by a pickup truck while he was trying to make a left turn, police said.
The accident occurred about 5:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Olive Street, Lt. John Cross said.
The victim, identified as George Bernard, was westbound on Lincoln and trying to turn left onto Olive when the truck, traveling east on Lincoln, hit him, Cross said.
Both drivers had a green light, but it appears that the victim “should have yielded,” Cross said.
The accident is still under investigation, he said.
