So Eddie Martin dies after founding Orange County’s only successful commercial airport and the largest general aviation operation in the county. And how do our supervisors recognize the man who was active in Orange County aviation since the early 1920s, holding a pilot’s license signed by Orville Wright?
They name the old passenger terminal after him. Almost as an afterthought, having named the airport after an actor who (reportedly) hated the place, and the new terminal after one of their own cronies.
Good job, fellows!
