GARDENER’S CHECKLIST

For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions on what to do in the garden this week from the California Assn. of Nurserymen:

Let the kids join in on the fun of gardening. Quick results can be seen after planting such vegetables as radishes; it keeps the kids interested while waiting for other ones to grow.

Check with a nurseryman about proper controls for the pests beginning to awaken from their winter nap in your garden.

If the danger of frost is past in your area, you can plant fuchsias, pelargoniums and geraniums.

Garden peas, snap peas and snow peas are easy to grow and a delight for the cook to use in all sorts of dishes.
