AARP Closing Credit Union: The American Assn. of Retired Persons said it plans to close its 2-year-old credit union because of a lack of interest from its members. AARP, the nation’s largest organization for older Americans, said all savings would be protected in the phase-out, which still must be approved by the credit union’s 90,000 members.
