Comarco Yearly Net $1.4 Million

Comarco Inc., the Anaheim computer-based products and services company, reported net income of $1.4 million for fiscal 1990 ended Jan. 31.

A year ago, the company posted net income of $6.1 million, which included an extraordinary gain of $4.8 million from the exchange of common stock for convertible debentures. Revenue declined 8%, to $81.4 million from $88.7 million.

For the fourth quarter, net income totaled $356,000, 4% higher than the $343,000 recorded for the comparable period a year earlier. Revenue dropped 12%, to $20.9 million from $23.6 million.

Harrison Young II, president and chief executive, said the revenue decline was caused by decreases in subcontracting and reductions in purchases of materials for customers.
