Parents Groups Against Record Legislation: The Parents’ Music Resource Center and the National Parent Teachers Assn. officially aligned themselves with the National Assn. of Recording Merchandisers in efforts to halt legislative measures requiring warning labels on “offensive” recordings in a Washington press conference Thursday. “You can’t put a child-proof cap on the world,” said PMRC president Tipper Gore. The groups are asking state legislators to withdraw bills mandating stickers.
