S.D. Dance Alliance Announces Artist Awards

The San Diego Area Dance Alliance has announced Round I recipients of this year’s independent artist grants.
An award of $6,850 for projects new choreographic works will be distributed among the following artists: Amelia, Alison Cutri, Lorna Dunn, the team of Laurie Lowery and Judith Sharp, Patricia Sandback and Ellen Segal (for works to be included on Segal’s third annual “Garage Dances” concert), and flamenco dancer Yaelisa.
Round II applications are due May 14. Those awards will focus on local dance makers working with artists in other disciplines. Call 692-4350 for more information.
