Money Supply Rises: The narrowest measure of the nation’s money supply, M1, rose in the week ended March 26, to a seasonally adjusted $804.8 billion from $802.5 billion. A broader measure, M2, rose to a seasonally adjusted $3,273.4 billion from $3,268.3 billion the previous week. M1 includes cash in circulation, deposits in checking accounts and non-bank travelers checks. M2 is M1 plus accounts such as savings deposits and money market mutual funds.
