India Bus Bomb Kills 14

CHANDIGARH, India —
A bomb on a bus killed at least 14 people Thursday and injured 22 in the north Indian state of Haryana, heightening tension between Hindus and Sikhs. Police said the bomb exploded as the vehicle, carrying mostly Hindu office workers, stopped at a bus stop in the industrial town of Panipat, 110 miles from Chandigarh, the capital Haryana shares with neighboring Punjab, where Sikhs want an independent state.
