Taheya Kazem; Widow of Egyptian President Nasser
Taheya Kazem, 66, widow of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. Nasser, who took power in a military coup and ruled Egypt for 18 years, died in 1970 of a heart attack. Unlike his successor, Anwar Sadat, Nasser did not allow his wife to take part in public social activities. In Cairo on March 25 of unannounced causes.
