Americans Warned on Travel in Nepal

WASHINGTON —
The U.S. government issued an advisory to American citizens Friday against traveling to Nepal, saying violent clashes between demonstrators and police there had resulted in hazardous conditions.
“The Department of State advises U.S. citizens to defer travel to Nepal until further notice. There have been violent clashes between demonstrators and security forces in Katmandu, resulting in fatalities,” spokesman Dave Denny said.
