Injustice to Victims
The victims and their families have again been dealt a gross miscarriage of justice from the rulings of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
John Mayeski and Steve Baker were executed by Robert Alton Harris, and without a trial. The people voted for the death penalty. The jury voted for the death penalty. Yet it seems that it will never, ever be carried out because of some “organic brain disorder.”
Justice will never, ever be served as long as Robert Harris is alive. Harris knew what he was doing. Is that why he initially implicated his brother Daniel in the killing, just to be initially absolved of the cold-blooded murder? Again, how do you define the word “victim”? The murderer or the boys who were murdered. It seems that the justices and the defense lawyers just do not care about the victims and their families.
I suffer with the victims’ families. If justice cannot be served, then what can?
