Supreme Court Upholds Stay of Execution for Harris

If we are to do away with the death penalty (and I heartily concur that we should), then the parole system of our state needs a complete reformation.

Fine, keep the life sentence without parole for the convicted murderer. But, very importantly, stiffen up parole laws that would allow a heinous criminal a parole after too little time in jail. A recent case in point is the parole of a father who poured kerosene over his son and lit it.

The main concern, of course, is to keep these criminals out of society.
