Travolta Warns Against Drinking, Driving: Actor John Travolta, pleading with Italian disco revelers after a rash of deaths in Saturday night car accidents, urged them not to drink and drive in a television interview in Rome. “To keep on dancing is fun, but be careful when you dance and drink and drive--that’s dangerous,” said Travolta, who danced in “Saturday Night Fever” and “Grease.” Twenty-three people were killed on Italian roads over one weekend late last month. Most were youths heading home from discotheques and nightclubs. The Italian government is preparing a tough campaign to curb drunken driving and limit the use of fast cars by young people, but has yet to set a maximum blood-alcohol level for drivers.
