Speculators Guilty of Fraud: Two stock speculators were found guilty of securities fraud by a federal jury in a case growing out of the 1986 “Yuppie 5” insider-trading scandal. They were Victor Teicher and his arbitrage firm, Victor Teicher & Co., and Ross Frankel, from the arbitrage department of Drexel Burnham Lambert. Teicher was found guilty of 14 counts of conspiracy, securities fraud and mail fraud; Frankel of six counts of conspiracy, securities and mail fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice.
