ATLANTA — A twin who was born 15 weeks premature and left her sister in the womb remained in critical condition Sunday, 10 days after her birth, a hospital said.
Shakoora Krasenics was born March 29 at 1 pound, 8 ounces, six months into her mother’s pregnancy. Her sister’s full-term arrival is expected in July, a spokeswoman at Crawford Long Hospital of Emory University said. Shakoora is expected to remain in an incubator unit until she weighs enough to be out of danger.
