Mazda to Import More Parts: Mazda Motor Corp., Japanese affiliate of Ford Motor Co., said it will boost imports from overseas, particularly in North America, and promote joint development with foreign parts makers. The Hiroshima-based auto maker said the decision was in line with its import expansion program adopted last October. The company said its purchases from overseas suppliers in fiscal 1989, which ended March 31, soared 42% over a year earlier to about $510 million.
