Tandem Merges With Array: Tandem Computers Inc. said it has merged with Array Technology Corp. seven months after signing a licensing agreement for its high-availability disk storage system. Merger terms were not disclosed, but Tandem, a major Silicon Valley computer maker, will obtain Array’s disk technology while providing more funding for the 15-month-old company.
