NATION : Teacher, 72, Jailed for Molesting
A 72-year-old substitute teacher from Tulare County has been ordered to spend two years in jail for sexually molesting nine 7- and 8-year-old girls at a Lemoore elementary school.
Floyd Leonard Foster was also ordered to give up his teaching credential and was fined $2,000 Monday by Lemoore Justice Judge Ronald Maciel. Foster, who pleaded no contest, will have to register as a sex offender and undergo counseling for his actions, which attorneys referred to as improper touching of female students.
Several girls testified during a preliminary hearing that Foster kissed and hugged them and touched them on various parts of their bodies.
