Women in Court

After a statewide report declares that women have been treated unfairly by the courts, some local judges are appointing a panel of (guess what?) local judges to study the problem that they have never seen while on the bench. Maybe these fellows are on the wrong bench!

The outcome seems pretty predictable, doesn’t it?

Shouldn’t the panel be from out of the area, or at the least another department, not connected to the Ventura County Courts and Mediation departments? Wouldn’t they be better able to render a fair and unbiased report and put this controversial issue to rest once and for all?
