City National Corp.: The parent of City National Bank in Beverly Hills said its earnings were off slightly in the first quarter at $13.9 million. The figure compares to $14 million earned in the year-earlier quarter, which the bank said was an exceptionally strong period. City National also said it has applied to have its common stock listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
