Refreshing Difference

Share

The Times is to be commended for the article done on Canyon High School’s “A World of Difference” day (March 24). Reporter Steve Padilla spent a good part of the day with us in order to write a fair and sensitive article. Your paper often reports the negative aspects of teen-agers, so it is refreshing to read about students who are interested in reducing prejudice and discrimination on their campus before problems begin.

It is our hope that all of our students will be able to celebrate, rather than fear, the increasing ethnic diversity occurring in our school and throughout the state. It is essential that teen-agers, as well as adults, learn to appreciate cultural differences, so that we can cooperate to make this a better world.
