Taiwan Gas Blast Hurts 69

TAIPEI, Taiwan —
An explosion Thursday at the cafeteria of a bicycle parts factory in central Taiwan injured 69 workers during lunch, police reported. Police in Taichung, 112 miles southwest of Taipei, said the blast was caused by a gas leak in the cafeteria kitchen.
