Ron Wolf, the Raiders’ personnel director, was reported in fair condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday after entering the hospital complaining of chest discomfort.

Hospital spokesman Ron Wise said Wolf was to be moved from intensive care to a regular room Thursday and may be released today.

“At this point, there’s no indication of anything of consequence,” Wise said.

Wolf, 50, has been conducting round-the-clock predraft meetings for the past month. Under normal conditions, Wolf runs the Raider draft, second only to Al Davis.

Can Lyle Alzado come back at 41?

The Raiders had no comment on a published report that Alzado, retired since 1985, will return as a player and assistant coach.

“At this point, it’s speculation,” said Alzado’s publicist, Walter Ward. “They have talked. I don’t think it’s gotten any farther than their talking.”
