SIMI VALLEY : Early Kindergarten Sign-Ups Are Urged
- Share via
Pre-registration for Simi Valley children entering kindergarten next fall will be available by appointment April 30 through May 4 at the district’s 19 elementary schools, officials said.
“We urge all parents of entering kindergartners to pre-register their children,” said Peter Rogaslky, senior director of the district’s office of curriculum and instruction. “As classroom and teacher scheduling is based on the projected number of students, pre-registration greatly assists in each school’s class planning.”
To be eligible, children must be 5 years of age on or before Dec. 2, 1990, district officials said. A birth certificate must be presented.
According to state law, parents of students must provide verification, including dates, for the following immunization vaccines: poliomyelitis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps and rubella.
