After watching a portion of ABC’s “Dangerous Passion,” I now can understand why film actors are loath to be involved in TV movies--in particular black actors and actresses. This had to be the most insulting film the black community has been subjected to in a long time.

What a waste of talent, particularly when there are those of us who have seen Billy Dee Williams, Carl Weathers and Lonette McKee perform at their peak with roles infused with dignity. But I suppose the television attitude that the “public doesn’t want to think for itself, just grab a beer and be entertained” prevails.
