Capital Cities/ABC Inc.: The New York-based firm reported first-quarter net income of $106 million, up 28% from year-earlier figures. Revenue totaled $1.26 billion, a gain of 13%. The firm owns the ABC Television Network as well as television stations, radio stations and newspapers. It attributed the results to ABC’s strong prime-time revenue performance.
