COLLEGE NEWS : Former Congressman to Head School of Theology

Robert W. Edgar, a Methodist minister and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has been named president of the School of Theology at Claremont.

Edgar, 46, served from 1975 to 1987 as a Pennsylvania congressman.

He received a master of divinity from Drew University Theological School, a bachelor of arts degree from Lycoming College and a certificate in pastoral psychology from Hahnemann Hospital in Pennsylvania.
