Police early today arrested two members of a Los Angeles rock band after a minor ruckus that ensued when authorities shut down their show for alleged use of profane language.

The band had been performing at La Semana Alegre (Spanish for “Happy Week”) concert in downtown San Antonio as part of the city’s annual 10-day Fiesta celebration.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. after police said they had warned the band again and again to tone down its language, the power to the band’s musical amplifiers was disconnected.

“Power was cut off due to the language and total disregard for public safety,” the police report said. “The crowd became unruly and out of control due to the language.”

Police said the band incited an angered crowd, which rushed toward the stage, breaking some barriers, to chant obscenities at police.

One of the musicians began damaging equipment on the stage, and another musician began shouting obscenities at police as he was being led off stage, police said.

Band members Gustave Ronald Molvik, 25, and Bren Preston Muscat, 23, both of Los Angeles, were arrested on charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
