Aladdin Hotel Foreclosure Sale Sought: An attorney has urged a bankruptcy judge to allow the foreclosure sale of the troubled Aladdin Hotel, saying the resort continues to lose money and problems are mounting at the property daily. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Linda Riegle was asked to schedule a foreclosure sale within 90 days to satisfy a $40-million first mortgage by Bell Atlantic-Tricon. Attorneys for the Las Vegas resort’s owner and other creditors urged that a foreclosure auction be blocked, saying a “fire sale” would cost everybody money.
