SIMI VALLEY : Drug, Alcoholism Forum Scheduled
A forum on drug and alcoholism services will be held Wednesday in Simi Valley by the Ventura County Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.
The forum, one of five to be held throughout the county, will provide an opportunity for public feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of county alcohol and drug programs, said Mark Summa, administrative assistant for the Ventura County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services.
Public input will aid the department in distributing funds to the various programs throughout the county. “The idea is that if we’re going to plan alcohol and drug programs for a community, we need to hear from that community,” Summa said.
Hearings have already been conducted in the Ventura and Camarillo areas.
The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.
