2 Brothers Charged in Death During Robbery
Two Sun Valley brothers were charged in Newhall on Tuesday with murder in the death of a friend allegedly shot during a robbery Friday in Angeles National Forest.
Prosecutors said Daniel Henry Sickler, 26, and Tony David Sickler, 23, were responsible for the death of Ted Anthony Lugo, 28, of Sun Valley, who was shot six times in the chest by a camper. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said the three men robbed the camper at gunpoint, not realizing the camper also had a gun.
If convicted, the Sickler brothers could face the death penalty because Lugo was killed during a robbery, Deputy Dist. Atty. Bradford Stone said. The two brothers will be arraigned May 1.
