New Bridge Support Falls, Kills Work Crew Member

MINNEAPOLIS —
A construction worker was killed when a freshly poured concrete support arch on a bridge connecting Minneapolis and St. Paul fell into the Mississippi River, authorities said. Several workers were inspecting the arch Tuesday when a 200-foot-long piece of it gave way, dropping more than 100 tons of concrete.
