THOUSAND OAKS : Deputies Arrest 5 on LSD Charges

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of selling LSD at the Conejo Valley Days carnival in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.

Sheriff’s deputies also seized $1,000 worth of the hallucinogenic drug during the 9:30 p.m. bust Wednesday, Sgt. Gary Pentis said.

Deputies observed what they believed was a narcotics transaction involving three people near the north entrance of the carnival at Janss Road and the Moorpark Freeway, Pentis said.

An undercover officer attempting to buy narcotics was offered LSD by the suspects, Pentis said.

Two other people then joined the group.

Deputies followed them to the parking lot and arrested them on suspicion of possession of LSD and possession of LSD for sale.

Arrested were John Aguirre, 21; Terrence Lavelle, 21; John Daane, 23; Kirsten Erkfritz, 19; and a 16-year-old female, all of Thousand Oaks.
