The Fight for Morals

Your column “Say Morality and the Cheering Stops” by Michael Novak (April 13) was great. It is very interesting to realize that America’s Catholic bishops were the media’s darlings when they criticized the political Establishment, but now that they are fighting our culture’s moral laxity, they are being “booed.”

I’m not Catholic, but I certainly applaud their efforts to remind us about the importance of good moral values. History warns that moral decay has preceded the decline of many great nations. Let’s keep America strong!
