Associated Press
KALAPANA, Hawaii —
A river of lava flowing from the Kilauea Volcano destroyed another house today and seemed certain to engulf the rest of a deserted subdivision.
Residents, tourists and reporters have gathered in Kalapana, a beautiful coastal community on the big island of Hawaii, to watch the town’s last days.
