Amgen Inc.: The biotechnology firm said it earned $19.1 million in fiscal 1990, contrasted with an $8.2-million loss a year earlier. Revenue more than doubled to $199 million. The Thousand Oaks company said the increased results were due to the successful launch of its product, Epogen, a treatment for a type of anemia associated with chronic kidney failure.
