THE SIDELINES : Taiwanese, Beth Daniel in Tie

INAGI, Japan —
Tu Ai-yu of Taiwan shot a 4-under-par 68 today to move into a tie with Beth Daniel for the second-round lead in the $316,000 Konica World Cup golf tournament.
Tu had five birdies and one bogey on the 6,397-yard, par-72 Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club course for a 3-under-par 141 total.
Daniel, currently second on the LPGA Tour’s money list, had three bogeys and one birdie en route to a round of 74.
