PacTel Cellular in Newport Beach Names a New V.P.

Donald A. Harris has been appointed vice president of corporate development for PacTel Cellular, a Newport Beach-based provider of cellular telephone service.

He succeeds Justin L. Jaschke, who is replacing Harris as president and chief operating officer of Bay Area Cellular Telephone Co., which is majority-owned by PacTel Cellular.

In his new position, Harris will be responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate strategy and planning, corporate marketing, new business development, public policy and external affairs.

Before joining the Bay Area company, he was vice president of the California region for PacTel Paging.
