LA PALMA : Council Approves New Housing Plan
- Share via
The City Council has approved a new housing plan that calls for the construction of at least 48 housing units over the next five years.
The state-mandated plan, which must be revised every five years, also calls for saving 20 existing affordable housing units and rehabilitating five other existing housing units.
City planners prepared the study by examining population and employment trends in La Palma to come up with a strategy for meeting local housing needs. The plan includes an assessment of the city’s housing stock, a listing of all undeveloped land in the city, a statement of the city’s housing goals and policies, and provisions for enough affordable housing.
