Golf Classic Will Benefit Cancer Society

WHITTIER — An estimated 144 golf enthusiasts will gather Monday at the Friendly Hills Country Club to swing against cancer during the American Cancer Society’s sixth annual Golf Classic.
The American Cancer Society golf championship is open to men and women, amateurs and professionals, to the serious golfer and to the weekend duffer. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. An awards banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m. The entry fee for single players is a $200 donation, a foursome is an $800 donation. Fees include green fee, golf cart and awards banquet. A $250 donation pays for tee / green sponsorship and a sign.
Proceeds from the event go directly to the American Cancer Society, dedicated to the control and elimination of cancer as a human disease, providing patient services, education and research.
