CII Financial Reports Quarterly Profit Increase

CII Financial, a Burbank-based provider of workers compensation insurance, said its first-quarter profit jumped 89% from a year earlier on a 71% increase in revenue.

CII, whose principal unit is California Indemnity Insurance Co., said net income in the quarter that ended March 31 climbed to $984,000 from $522,000 a year earlier, while its revenue rose to $17.1 million from $9.96 million.
