Ocumed Eyewash Recalled: A pharmaceutical company is recalling 2,800 bottles of a non-prescription eyewash called Ocumed because of bacterial contamination that could cause serious eye infections and possible blindness. Ocumed Inc. said the 4-ounce plastic bottles were stamped on the bottom with lot number N4189. The product label says it is manufactured for Rugby Laboratories Inc. in Rockville Centre, N.Y. There have been no reports of injury, the company said. Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase.
